The halls are being decked, stores are buzzing and day by day, more and more house fronts are illuminated at night creating holiday cheer. Gift-giving season is upon us. If you’re not always in the Christmas mindset, and haven’t done so yet, it’s time to start thinking about what gifts to buy for your loved ones. This can be easier said than done.
It takes a bit of considerate thinking to come up with a new idea of something you’re excited or proud to give someone.
When I was little I would write up a long list of toys I wanted. As I got older, I’d tailor that list, for my parent’s benefit, with items that had a variety of dollar amounts. Otherwise, I might get one item on the list and the rest would be small meaningless, mindless stuff like bottles of lotion, a picture of a horse for my bedroom wall…
It’s been many years since I’ve created a list of gift ideas or things I want or could use. In that spirit, as well as for my own reference as a potential shopping list down the road, I’ve come up with a wish list of my own. Many items pertain to RVing and creating a better experience in my RV, so I hope you can use some of these items as ideas to gift to the RVer in your life. Sometimes, that RVer to shop for might just even be yourself. Don’t forget to treat yourself!
MY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST
- Circle Saw
- Zero Gravity Chair
- Tankless Hot Water Heater
- Berkey Water Filter and Fluoride Filter
- Safe propane heater for inside the RV
- Ladder
- Hack Saw
- RV Awning, an absolute must for any RV. I really miss having an awning on my RV.
- A trip to Bora Bora or Maldives!
Another great gift idea is to bake something for someone. Food is always useful and welcomed by many. I like to augment smaller gifts with home made candies or cookies like this cracker toffee in the video below. Doing so can make a small gift seem a lot more significant. Plus it adds the touch of personality.
However you intend to spend your holidays and year’s end, I wish you and your family the best.
Happy holidays!
Lets see your christmas tree.

The air conditioning covers on your roof are held on by 4 nuts each. As you drive the covers try to go airborne due to their aerodynamic shape. This causes the Fiberglass to flex repeatedly. Eventually the cover will break at each of the attach points & the cover will become airborne & end up on the side of the road. It happened to me & then I would notice covers by the road. A simple fix is to remove the 4 nuts & remove the cover . You can get a can of fiberglass epoxy & apply inside around each hole to reinforce them. It’s far cheaper than having to buy replacement covers. You’ll probably notice hairline cracks already if you check closely.
I really enjoy your being so effervescent & bodacious!
You go girl.
Fabulous tip, Larry! Thanks for sharing 🙂

I spend a lot of time in a few rooms (bathroom, part of kitchen, bedoorm my computer is in the bedoorm). Only thing I worry about in super downsizing is how to run my small business on the road. Right now its in a closet but even that may be too much. Great blog!
Thanks, best of luck on your decisions 🙂
