Here is a Schwintek RV Slide Troubleshooting Guide that may pose useful if you ever need to replace or repair your Schwintek RV slide.
Watch the video below to see me going through the process so you can know and learn what I did so you are prepared to DIY replace or repair your RV slide out motor or other related components along the way.
We had the same slide problem and were told this is a common problem with Schwintec. Our tech replaced to loose wires in about 2 hours. They’ve done several. Schwintec, we’re told, has replaced the soldered connection with a quick connect and this has worked much better at not coming loose. We’re told that some people have replaced all their soldered connections just to be sure they don’t have the same issue again out in the boondocks.
That’s a bummer but good it seems they’ve addressed the problem. Thanks for sharing!
Great video, thanks.
I have the same problem where the wires have ripped off. Sent off for two new motors and 1 wiring harness due to the pins had snapped in the black female connector. I noticed I had an old motor like your, but the other side of the slide out had the modern NO: 236575 so I bought 2 new motors. I’m hoping we can get to the black wire from within side of the RV like you did.
