Simply does not get any better. Watch the sun set over the tallest mountain in USA. This place is a mere 2 miles to all services in Lone Pine. Gateway to Death Valley. 29 per night with full hook ups. Pool, hiking, beautiful rec hall, even a cage with 200 colored finches. If you stop by, plan on a few days. My first visit for a day turned into a week. Host Vincente is wonderful and is often helping campers with their vehicles. Blanca has coffee and home made muffins on at 7AM.

Sounds great. My wife and I have a TT but we live in NC. I drive a truck for a living and I’ve been to Phoenix. The country is so dramatic out west. I loved it. But as far as “camping”, as we call it, we enjoy the N.C. State parks very much. We’re not full timers but if we were we’d love to see Lone Pine. Maybe someday.

I agree. Boulder Creek campground outside of Lone Pine CA is a great campground. Very clean, nice people, great base to go out and see the Eastern Sierra mountains. We stop there on the way to Mammoth Lakes and June Lake.
