Hi Pippi,
I’m Dale. I can be found running around in my Vintage Airstream/RoadTrek Van combo. I rebuilt the Airstream a few years back. The combo fits me nice.
I tend to hang out in the North Georgia Mountains in the Summers and take random trips here and there these days.
I often winter in Florida or somewhere warm.I enjoy your videos, and have to stop into your YouTube channel when I need encouragement to fix on something or start a new project.
Seems I’m often fixing something, especially when I stop in at the North Georgia shack.*My current projects include:
*rebuilding my counter-top/cabinet in the Airstream, (the one I built a few years back isn’t holding up well, so time to remodel that).
*A Raspberry-Pi Smart home project for my Airstream and Roadtrek combo.
*A better Kayak lift system and Kayak rack for my two man Kayak (maybe with a tiny winch system to do the lifting. I’m tired of trying to He-Man that thing up onto the Kayak rack. It’s sweet when it is on the water though.)The Lighting Bugs/Fireflies started their Dance-Dance-Dance here in the North Georgia Mountains a few weeks back. They are one of my favorite things to watch. I saw in your videos that you had them on your Bucket List. I have an unfinished Musical I wrote about them somewhere in a box. I do get the silly songs from that out from time to time.
I’m looking forward to a Summer with random music festivals, river trips etc. I’m also looking forward to the Eclipse this year. I have a tent spot on a lake in South Carolina reserved for that in the 100% area. I intend on enjoying it in a floatie on the lake with eclipse glasses and friends.
Anyway, thanks for the Encouragement viddies.

Happy trails!

The projects I listed above awhile back came along well.
I finished the counter-top for the Airstream.
I finished the Kayak-lift system for the RoadTrek,
It helps a lot with my tall-rack and 2 person Kayak to deal with.
As for the home-made Smart-Airstream project, well it now has AC/roof heat/furnace all temperature controlled by a Raspberry-pi with my custom code and it even feeds me the Airstream’s gps. I have more fun things to add to that project, including a helpful camper-robot I’ve started collecting parts for.
I’ve seen some really fun looking adventures you have had on your videos, but, nope, seeing only 3 lighting bugs, no-no-no, that will not do at all, you must spin in fields of them, or that part of the bucket has a hole in it. The North Georgia Mountains in the late spring, early summer is a good spot.
Here’s a shot from last summer from the field by a shack I keep there. They are hard to see in the pic, but all those specs in the pic are lighting bugs/Fireflies in just a 30 seconds exposure, magical things indeed. Anyway, thanks for posting back to me. Happy Adventures — DaleJanuary 1, 2018 at 7:02 am #2740PippiKeymasterI love the counter top! Great job on the kayak rack. Yes, I will be attempting some great sightseeing of fireflies this coming spring and summer.
