Dose anyone know if the GM 454’s used in RV’s are the automotive/truck type or the commercial type with the taller deck height?
Hi Ken, I’m pretty certain they have the truck type, however it may depend on the year. I know a lot of newer class A’s are now being built with a larger chassis which may effect the engine type.
You can also check the engine ID by referencing the VIN number. Whether it specifies the deck height or truck vs commercial, I’m uncertain on this.
