Check out these extra tips that didn’t make it into the video:

    — Wear safety glasses
    — Use disposable rubber gloves
    — Run the engine so the oil is warm when changing
    — Check to make sure you removed the old filter’s rubber seal
    — Check your manual for the correct amount of oil to put back in
    — Occasionally replace the oil plug’s o-ring gasket

    Good afternoon Pippi,

I have been following your vids For several months and have really enjoyed your very positive attitude and that very captivating smile of yours…

Any way I just wanted to alert you to one of the many dangers of doing your own maintenance. Which sometime s the bennies out wait dangers.

Of coarse there will be many who will say they have worked in the Auto Service Industry or DIYers who will say they have been doing without for many years and never had a problems. But the wise always listen to wise counsel.

On a motor vehicle “ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES” and mot of all when changing OIL and changing the FUEL FILTER. It is very important to do so because not only of the chemicals that are added to them but also the changes they go trough in the engine.

Yes some of the gloves don’t fit right and they are hard to get use to waring. If you test out different ones you will find the right fitting ones. Remember Goldy Locks.

Thanks for this video. I always change my own oïl but never thought to fill the filter with oïl before screwing it back on. Good idea!

I always use full synthetic oïl. It is more expensive but it comes on special once in a while and I can buy it for the same price as a premium motor oïl.
