Hello there everyone!!! I am new to the RV life. I feel I’m not truly immersed in the lifestyle as I live stationery and have never traveled in my 5th wheel…yet☺️
I was a somewhat typical Suburban Atlanta housewife years ago who lived in a 5,000 square foot home that we custom built thinking we had gotten our dream home when the reality is we were stupid and bit off more than we could chew…
Since that time we went through trying to sell our home during the housing crash and had to short sell. We moved into a smaller rental home and within two years happened to go through a divorce.
Long story short, (or longer???????) after I divorced I bought a home and moved in with my 3 children. Since then I had a major financial change and needed to make a decision about where to move as I had to sell my home. Two of my children moved overseas to have an international experience with their dad and my oldest went to college. I was a new empty nester at age 43 (much younger than I imagined). I looked into building a tiny house on wheels but chose to buy a 5th wheel instead. I knew I was ready for a minimal lifestyle. Going through this past move confirmed it more than ever how Less Is More and I am over stuff!!!
I have experienced some RV mishaps as most do but have never regretted my decision! I love it! Thanks Pippi for all your videos!!!
Although I don’t have a truck I hope to meet someone with one one day who might want to join in on my lifestyle so we could travel together…lol I guess I am narrowing down my dating pool significantly.???? I’ve wondered with all of the dating websites out there if there was one for people interested in this lifestyle…Pippi, maybe you should start one!

Good luck with your search for a travelling partner.
Can I kindly suggest some unsolicited advice that I’m learning from my own experience?
It would be to not look to someone else to provide for you in anyway (as in having a truck) but perhaps see yourself as a magnificent creator that you are and trust that what you need will come. Then hit the road yourself and I promise you’ll find someone way better that way than waiting for one to come to you so that you can go do something (like travel). If you wait for someone to bring you something, you’ve given up all your power 😉Best of luck and may you experience everything that you desire, because you are worthy of it all!!!
December 6, 2015 at 5:22 pm #1431Judson SimonParticipantHello, I am also looking for a travel partner/friend (particularly a female, cause two guys in a small space might be odd lol) I have a 34.5′ tri-axle airstream I tow with a matching 15 passenger extended van. I also have a much smaller setup I use on occasion to save gas. I am about ten years younger than you but want to do some actual traveling since I have some spare money after my father’s passing. I have an f350 diesel work truck back home in Carolina. As for looking for love, age doesn’t really matter but I’m still getting over/wishing I was with my ex. Wouldn’t mind visiting g.a. and perhaps helping ya get on the road and or teach some rving advise as I have been a full timer for about ten years. And PS it’s freaking cold up here in Western NY
