Hello “Pippenators” (sorry, couldn’t resist, just love the sound of that..), my first post here after being ‘full time’ in a motorhome after about 45 days. With the cold climate upon us, even in the south, and my limited on board propane storage, I literally can feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time I hear those propane jets fire off. It’s not that I’m cheap…well I am…but its just that I’m lazy, and the less I have to drive this behemoth to the local propane fill station, the better.

Oh..the appliance…that would be an electric tea kettle. After buying this miracle device for about 20 bucks, the only time my hot water heater gets turned on is before I take a shower. You just fill this technological marvel, and temper the boiling water with cold until you get the temp you want. Dishes? Heat, fill, temper, wash and rinse. Morning wash up and shave? Same deal, just in the bathroom sink. Boil eggs, pasta, cook rice, etc? Heat, pour in the pot, and then turn on the gas to maintain the boil.

Oh yeah, it makes pretty good Tea too. Watta deal!

    Happy Trails
