Hi Dennis, back in the day, 1990’s Fleetwood Bounders were the top dog for innovation and leading the way in trends. It’s an entirely new company nowadays and not comparable.
Some of the benefits of the older Bounder are that they are steel bodied. That makes them a bit heavier compared to today’s options but they are sturdy and strong and you can ground electrical to them 😉
My rubber roof is still the original, however, it could really use a new membrane though it does not leak even at almost 26 years old. All the appliances are still working, then Chevy 454 engine is doing ok but could use a tune up after traveling constantly for the last six months and my tranny has been doing great towing the maximum allowed weight.
If you know engines and can troubleshoot that on your own, the RV its self is great.
