Many RV sites like this discuss solar systems and often have nice schematic diagrams (like yours) however nobody ever really explains the math behind why they chose a particular fuse strength. You say that you selected your fuses to allow for future expansion but doesn’t that mean that your fuses will be too “strong” for your current system and would never blow? Please consider adding something to your blog or creating a new video that covers the theory and “rules” behind breakers and fusing? Thanks! Keep up the good work!

I’m preparing to install solar panels on my new Kodiak 290RLSL RV I saw your YouTube Videos and other one’s as well, Good Job! I’ve read specs on all the equipment needed as well everybody else’s idea on solar equipment installation. I like the idea of mixing solar panels in Parallel and in Series. I have a Victron MPPT 100/50 charge controller. If I understood you right you connected Parallel and Series solar panels together into one MPPT charge controller and had a 12v output? I like the idea and if this is the case than I want to do the same. 2 panels in parallel and the other 2 in series. I have room for a 5th panel, my question is would you make it part of the parallel side or the series side? Enough said for now but will be asking for your help later.
    Thanks, Phil
