I am installing solor on my 1988 Fleetwood Bounder and the questions I have is how do I take in consideration when hooking up solor when I also have a generator that is already hooked up and a control panel that switches between when I am pluged in to the grid and when i am using the generator.

Is the solor unit a separate supply of energy that can be run in parallel with the existing set up?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I can find how to hook up solor but no one address when a generator is involved

Ideally the solar or the grid power would be charging your batteries so that when there is no grid available you would have battery power available to your inverter for use. The generator comes in when the solar doesn’t work for what you need to run. or for when it’s too cloudy for too long and the batteries are too weak. The generator also can be used to charge the batteries using the converter, and don’t forget the vehicle battery it can use a little battery Tender to keep it charged with an exstention cord.
