I have been considering an RV life when I retire. There is one thing that concerns me about living in an RV, lightning. Have there been many reports of RVs being hit by lightning? In a vehicle, there is the ‘skin effect’ of the metal body of the car or truck to protect the occupants. What about an RV that is mostly wood and fiberglass?

Not all RVs are mostly wood and fiberglass. Many are aluminum and you can still find some older ones that are steel.

However, if this makes a difference with lightening, I don’t know.

Have you found anything new since posting this?
