Pippi,
You were asking about ideas for the summer and I can tell you what many folks that spend their winters in the South do: They come to the cool Colorado mountains for the summer. Our summers get started after Memorial day and finish up in the Fall. Our small town of Lake City, CO has about 400 year round residents but we swell to a couple of thousand for the summer. Folks come here for the adventurous things like hiking, fishing, jeeping and so on but also many like our Arts community and all it has to offer. Even BELLY DANCING. We normally have a dance show but this year I’m working on including our belly dancers and cloggers in a variety type show. Salsa dancing and line dancing have become popular the last couple of years so I can see some opportunities there, too. We have a great lineup of concerts scheduled on a weekly basis, too, that you would enjoy. Now, I know you said you wanted to go to Tennessee. I can’t blame you and I’m a native Tennessean, BUT you can still head to the Smokies in August and not miss too much Lake City has to offer. Check out a couple of websites: lakecity.com and lakecityarts.org for more info.May 6, 2017 at 7:18 pm #2476PippiKeymasterThanks for sharing, Dan. I have some notions to head to CO so I’m glad you brought this up.
Cheers and thanks for tuning into my videos!

I stayed there some years back and decided that Colorado was to be home. It’s a great spot in the Central Rockies because you can get to a ton of amazing places within an hour or so. Including the spot in this video I shot for the Vail Daily–a 15 minute drive from town.
Would make a great highlight on your channel. There are tons of other adventurous stuff to do as well.Stewart Eastep
