Yes, that is the ticket! I’m in the process of testing portable solar panels. I’ve been getting about 5 amps of charge from a 100 amp panel. It’s really impressive. I am planning on replacing my 1986 converter charger with a newer multi-stage charger and installing a solar charger…then parking under a tree with the solar panel in the sun! The hard part is getting correct batteries. I think the answer is a flooded type battery, but I haven’t bought them yet. (I live near an Amish community and there is a store that sells batteries and panels to the Amish) I don’t think I even need an inverter because I’m going to get a 12 volt TV. I also need a fan-tastic fan.. 12 volts also.
