I’m with Scootertrash 100% on this – the Honda EU2000i is the best portable generator on the market. In addition to it being field tested and time proven in Slab City, I can also attest to its durability and economy as it has survived 4 Burning Mans and has only needed adjustments to the choke to allow for high altitude. I use my two in parallel for a total of 4000 watts, more than enough to power my A/C in the hot playa of the Black Rock Desert. And it IS the quietest in it’s class. 1 gal. of fuel at economy idle (the governor will increase idle with the load) will last about 7 hours. Can’t beat it with a stick. 😉

Disconnecting your LP alarm is not a good idea. It’s there for a good reason and it can’t save your life if it is not functioning properly.
The real problem might be with your quick-connect. If your quick connect is functioning properly, it will not leak. Have it checked or replace. The bottom line is you need to determine exactly where the leak is coming from.
