If you’re living in the mainland US, January is one of the best times to travel south to warm up on the beach and enjoy some vacation time. That’s why Kevin from Clear Adventure and his dog, Nugget have organized an event called Traveler’s CampFest 2016. The way things are shaping up, it looks like there’s going to be a pretty big turn out. It’ll be a great way to meet other travelers which include RVers, van dwellers, campers, nomads and more while enjoying the 70 degree beach weather, beautiful scenes and ringing in the new year.
Traveler’s CampFest 2016 will occur Jan 5th-12th, 2016 along the Padre Island National Seashore. Padre Island is a National Park, has one entrance to the island and requires a $10 fee to enter. Dogs are allowed on the beach. So don’t leave the fur babies at home.
There is an RV park along the shore which costs $8 per night or you can choose to camp on the beach with your vehicle or tent for free. There is no cost to join or participate in the Traveler’s CampFest. Restrooms, water, cold showers and dump stations are free for all.
If you’re wondering if I’m going, I haven’t decided yet. It will probably be a last minute decision. For those that make it, undoubtedly there’ll be good memories to have.
For more information, to connect with those who are going and maybe even snag a ride head to the Traveler’s CampFest event page on facebook.
I enjoy what you guys are up too. This sort of clever work and exposure!
Keep up the terrific works guys I’ve included you guys to my own blogroll.
That looks like a great getaway. Ive never been there and its so hard to find a beach to actually park on.

I am here enjoying it. Had a great fireside chat with some wonderful new friends.
Fabulous!
We had a fantastic hlaidoy at Beachside during early September. The house was equipped with everything we needed a real home from home and was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect, being right on the beach but also a short walk to shops, cafes and a pub. The footbridge across the River Adur to Shoreham town is currently being replaced, but there is a regular shuttle bus in service. Thanks, Rae we can’t wait to go back! lablos
Glad you had a blast! 🙂
Just started watching your videos, they are great! We are heading out for another 6 months in our RV in late May. Maybe catch you on the road! The Julian Family
